Scriptural Study of Verses Identifying Jesus as GOD

  • Did Jesus ever say that He was GOD or the Messiah?
  • What does the Bible have to say about this revelation?
  • Why is it important to realize that Jesus is GOD?

‘You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have Eternal Life; and it is they that bear Witness about Me.’ -John 5:39

The purpose of this study is to present a series of verses from both the Old and New Testament that attributes Divinity to Jesus, that is that Jesus is the SON of GOD or GOD the SON. This study is predicated on the belief that there is a Triune GOD-Head, 1 GOD but having 3 Person manifested, and each is not the other. This is a mystery and one not yet fully understood or grasped by a limited, finite mind of Man. Nonetheless, the verses will mainly pertain how in the Old Testament, the inference to GOD, the I AM, the only Savior, Redeemer, Rock, Light, Manna, is revealed in the New Testament as Jesus.

There are also other inferences to Christ as seen in Types, Shadows, Pictures, Christophanies, Theophanies, etc. There is also the apparition of the ‘Angelic’ nature of Christ that many confuse as being a literal Angel. This is not correct. The inference is only based on the mere meaning of the word, to suggest a ‘Messenger’ as that is what a Prophet, for example could be called as in the ‘Angel of the Churches’ in the book of Revelation. There are many sects and/or cults that do revere Jesus as the Arch Angel Michael due to this confusion or that Jesus was a Created Being and was ‘a God’, not GOD.

Or like in some religions, that Jesus started off as a mere Mortal Man and became ‘GOD’, but 1 among many in the Pantheon of the Heavenly Realm. Then for example, there are other entire World Religions like Islam that specifically deny the Death of Jesus by Crucifixion, His Burial and Resurrection. And that GOD has no Son. This is even ‘broadcasted’ as a billboard around the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. This is actually blasphemy per 2 John 1:7 as to deny this fact is one that comes from the Spirit of AntiChrist. In both the Old and New Testament, their purpose is to reveal Jesus. In fact, the book of Revelation is such an example, outline of Jesus.

In Revelation 19:10, it states that the ‘Aim of Prophecy [or the reason why it even exists] is to Testify [or point] to Jesus. The book is divided into 3 main parts; What was, What is, and What is to come. This is Jesus, declared as He, ‘Who Was, Is, and Is to Come’.  This is the same pattern, as many know of the delineation of His Ministry. In His past, as Prophet, Presently as Priest, then future as King. It is argued that in the Old Testament, Jesus or GOD the SON is ‘hidden’. The evidence for Jesus being GOD will be presented first, then the addendum of various types and shadow will follow.

The following are key verses from the Old Testament where YHVH is proclaimed the only true GOD, Creator. He is the Redeemer, King and only Savior. The parallel passages will demonstrate the correlation and fulfillment in Jesus Christ.

Genesis 1:1-3

‘In the beginning GOD [Father] created the Heavens and the Earth. Now the Earth was Formless and Void, and Darkness was over the surface of the Deep. And the Spirit of God [Holy Spirit] was hovering over the surface of the Waters. And GOD said, Let there be Light, and there was light [SON].’

In Mark 3:16-17 it says, ‘And when 1) Jesus [SON] had been Baptized, just as He came up from the Water, suddenly the Heavens were opened to Him and He saw the 2) Spirit of GOD descending like a Dove and alighting on Him. And a 3) Voice [Father] from Heaven said, This is my SON, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.’

Genesis 18:1-21

‘And the LORD appeared to him by the Oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day. He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, 3 Men were standing in front of him.’

In John 8:57-58 it says, ‘The People said, You aren’t even 50 years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham? Jesus answered, I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I AM!’

Genesis 32:27-30

‘And He said to him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob. Then He said, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with GOD and with Men, and have prevailed. Then Jacob asked Him, Please tell me your Name. He said, Why is it that you ask My Name? And there He blessed him. So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, saying, For I have seen GOD face to face,  yet my life has been delivered.’

In John 1:18 it states, ‘No one has ever seen GOD, but the One and Only Son, who is Himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, He has made Him known.’

Joshua 5:13-15

‘Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a Man standing in front of him with a drawn Sword in His hand. Joshua went up and asked, Are you for us or for our Enemies? Neither, He replied, but as Commander of the Army of the LORD, I have now come. Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, what message does my LORD have for His Servant? The Commander of the LORD’S Army replied, Take off your Sandals, for the place where you are standing is Holy. And Joshua did so.’
In Revelation 19:15, Jesus returns with this same Sword as the Captain of the Armies of Heaven, to include the Bride of Christ at His 2nd Coming.

Psalm 27:1

The LORD is my Light and my Salvation [Yeshua]. Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the Stronghold of my life— whom shall I dread?

Jesus = means Salvation
In Luke 2:29-32 it states, ‘Now there was a Man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the LORD's Christ. And he came in the Spirit into the Temple, and when the Parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed GOD and said, LORD, now you are letting your Servant depart in peace, according to your Word; for my eyes have seen your Salvation [Yeshua] that you have prepared in the presence of all Peoples, a Light for Revelation to the Gentiles, and for Glory to your People Israel.’

Daniel 7-10

‘I watched till Thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated; His Garment was white as Snow, And the Hair of His Head was like pure Wool. His Throne was a Fiery Flame. Its Wheels a Burning Fire; A Fiery Stream issued and came forth from before Him. A 1000, 1000 ministered to Him; 10 thousand times 10 thousand stood before Him. The Court was seated, and the Books were opened.’

See Revelation 1, and 5 for the striking parallel and how this Ancient of Days is Jesus as describe by the Apostle John. It is the depiction of this same Court in Session where the Lamb, Jesus takes the Scroll and is able to then execute Judgment.

Isaiah 9:6

‘For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a SON is given; And the Government will be upon His shoulder. And His Name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’

In Colossians 2:9-10 it states, ‘For in Him the whole Fullness of Deity dwells Bodily. And in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the Head over every Power and Authority.’

Isaiah 40:3

‘A Voice of one calling: Prepare the Way for the LORD in the Wilderness; make a Straight Highway for our GOD in the Desert.’

In John 1:29, John the Baptist said he was the one, ‘Calling as a Voice in the Wilderness’ to Israel. He said of Jesus, ‘The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look, the Lamb of GOD, who takes away the Sin of the World!’

Isaiah 43: 10-12

‘You are My Witnesses, says the LORD, and My Servant whom I have chosen. That you may know and believe Me. And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no GOD formed, nor shall there be after Me. I, even I AM the LORD. And besides Me there is no Savior.

In Revelation 1:17-18, it says, ‘When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though Dead. But He laid His Right Hand on me, saying, Fear not, I AM the First and the Last, and the Living One. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the Keys of Death and Hades.’

Isaiah 44:6

‘Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and His Redeemer, the LORD of Hosts: I AM the First and I am the Last; besides me there is no GOD.’

In Revelation 2:8, it says, ‘And to the Angel of the Church in Smyrna write: The words of the First and the Last, who Died and came to Life.’

Isaiah 53 (Whole Chapter)

Called the ‘Forbidden Chapter’ by Rabbinical Judaism and is skipped over as is Daniel. The Rabbinical argument is that this ‘Suffering Servant’ is not the Messiah who dies and is resurrected but it is erroneously referring to Israel as a Nation collectively.

‘Who has believed Our Message and to whom has the Arm of the LORD been revealed? He grew up before Him like a Tender Shoot, and like a Root out of dry ground. He had no Beauty or Majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His Appearance that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected by Mankind, a Man of Suffering, and Familiar with Pain. Like one from whom People hide their faces.

He was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely He took up our Pain and bore our Suffering. Yet we considered Him punished by GOD, stricken by Him, and afflicted. But He was Pierced for our Transgressions. He was Crushed for our Iniquities; the Punishment that brought us Peace was on Him, and by His Wounds we are Healed.

We all, like Sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the Iniquity of us all. He was Oppressed and Afflicted, yet He did not open His Mouth. He was led like a Lamb to the Slaughter, and as a Sheep before its Shearers is silent, so He did not open His Mouth.

By Oppression and Judgment He was taken away. Yet who of His Generation protested? For He was Cut-Off from the Land of the Living; [Messiah had to die first] for the Transgression of My People He was punished. He was assigned a Grave with the Wicked, and with the Rich in His Death, though he had done no Violence, nor was any Deceit in His Mouth. Yet it was the LORD’s will to Crush him and cause him to Suffer, and though the LORD makes His Life an Offering for Sin. He will see his offspring [Resurrection] and prolong His Days, and the Will of the LORD will Prosper in His Hand.

After He has Suffered, He will see the Light of Life and be satisfied; by His Knowledge, My Righteous Servant will justify many, and He will bear their Iniquities. Therefore I will give Him a Portion among the Great, and He will divide the Spoils with the Strong because He poured out His Life unto Death and was numbered with the Transgressors. For He bore the Sin of Many and made Intercession for the Transgressors.’

In 1 Corinthians 15:4 it states, ‘Moreover, Brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; By which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ 1) Died for our Sins according to the Scriptures; And that He was 2) Buried, and that He 3) Rose again the 3rd day according to the Scriptures.’

Isaiah 62:1

For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep still, until her Righteousness shines like a bright light, her Salvation [Yeshua} will be like a blazing torch.

In Acts 4:11 it says that ‘This Jesus is the Stone you Builders rejected, which has become the Cornerstone. Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other Name under Heaven given to Men by which we must be saved.’

Micha 5:2

‘But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are small among the Clans of Judah, out of you will come forth for Me, One to be Ruler over Israel, One whose origins are of old, from Eternity.

In Luke 2:10-11, it says, ‘But the Angel said to them, Do not be afraid! For behold, I bring you Good News of great joy that will be for all the People: Today in the City of David. a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the LORD!’

The following verses are how Jesus is GOD the Son, revealed in a variety of clues, from either a direct to indirect statements by Disciples, Worshippers of Jesus or Jesus Himself. Presented in order of the Gospels, Epistles and Letters that make-up the Biblical New Testament.

Matthew 2:1-2

‘After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the East came to Jerusalem and asked, Where is the One who has been born King of the Jews? We saw His Star when it rose and have come to worship Him.’

Matthew 28:8-9

‘So the Women hurried away from the Tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell His Disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. Greetings, He said. They came to Him, clasped His feet and worshiped Him.’

At this, the High Priest tore his clothes and declared, Why do we need any more Witnesses?’

Luke 2:36-38

And there was a Prophetess, Anna, the Daughter of Phanuel, of the Tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived with her husband 7 years from when she was a virgin, and then as a Widow until she was 84. She did not depart from the Temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. And coming up at that very hour she began to give thanks to GOD and to speak of Him to all who were waiting for the Redemption of Jerusalem.

‘This made the Jews ask, Will he kill himself? Is that why he says, Where I go, you cannot come’? But he continued, You are from Below; I am from Above. You are of this World; I am not of this World. I told you that you would die in your Sins; if you do not believe that I AM He, you will indeed die in your Sins.’

Jesus Hidden in Scripture - Typologies

‘Then He said to them, These are My Words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.’ -Luke 24:44

The book of Genesis starts out this way also but the New Testament is where GOD the SON is revealed. It is believed that Jesus appears in the Old Testament as a Christophany. The word comes from 2 Greek words; Christos, which means Christ, and Phaneroo, which means to be revealed or to manifest. It was believed to have been the visible manifestation or appearance of Christ before His Incarnation. Such appearances in the Old Testament were deemed Christophanies.

Any manifestation or appearance of GOD in the New Testament were called Theophanies. This can be seen in the Code of Creation, the Berisheet Code and the Menorah Code that will be linked at the endnotes. For example, there is the case when Phillip told Nathaniel that they found ‘The one whom Moses and the Prophets wrote about’. Jesus is a ‘Prophetic Type’ of Offices and Being.

For example, the last book of the Bible, Revelation is divided into 3 main parts, ‘What was, What is, and What is to come’. This is Jesus, who is also described as ‘Who Was, Is, and Is to Come’. This is the same pattern, as many know of the delineation of His Ministry. In the past, as Prophet, Presently as Priest, then future as King. Throughout the Bible, various aspects of all 3 Offices or any single one is emphasized by either a Personage or Object in the Bible. Here are some main examples.

Jesus as a Personage

The following passages from mainly the Old Testament show a typology in the various Characters portrayed in the Bible Narratives. Although not all inclusive, each Personage has a facet or dimension that is ‘Christ-Like’ to consider and be taught about.

In Genesis 14:18-20, this mysterious person appears and his name means 1) King of Righteousness, a type of Jesus. He is said to be a 2) Priest of the GOD Most High YHVH. Abraham met him and gave him a Tithe to which Melchizedek 3) Prophesied over Abraham. Hebrews 7:3 says that He is without Father or Mother or Genealogy, having neither Beginning of Days nor End of Life. The inference is to the Son of God, as Jesus has now been made a Priest after this order. As a result, many People believe Melchizedek was a Christophany.

Abraham and Isaac

In Genesis 22:1-19, both Isaac and Jesus’ births were foretold and miraculously conceived. They were both ‘Beloved’ as the only Son of their Fathers and were to be sacrificed by their Loving Fathers. The Sacrifice was to happen on Mount Moriah for Isaac and Jesus, and both carried the Wood of their Sacrifice on their backs. Both Isaac and Jesus submitted to the Will of the Father. Isaac like Jesus did not resist when bound him to the Altar or the Cross of Calvary.

In Genesis 37, there is the parallel of Jesus with Joseph, and in fact the proto-type of the Messiah ben Joseph. They were both stripped of their Garments. They were both sold for Money. They were both falsely accused. Joseph was charged by his Master’s Wife while False Witnesses testified against them. Joseph was in Prison with 2 other guilty Men; one was pardoned while the other died. Jesus was crucified next to 2 Men, one was forgiven and received Eternal Life. The other perished eternally. Pharaoh set Joseph to be ruler over all of Egypt, his house, and People. Joseph saved the world and was hidden from his Brothers to only be revealed at the end. This is what is occurring presently with Israel, as they have ‘Scales’ over their Eyes as Jesus is ‘hidden’ from them only to be nationally revealed at the end of the 7-Year Tribulation Period.

Boaz with Ruth

In the book of Ruth, there is the typology of Boaz redeeming and marrying a Gentile Bride. It is the same type as with Jesus and the Gentiles of the Nations. This is due to Israel, as a Nation collectively rejecting Jesus. Boaz was a wealthy Bethlehemite and Kinsman Redeemer. Boaz married Ruth at the end of the Summer Wheat Harvest that many believe is the type of the Church Age and when that will conclude.

4th Man in Fire

In Daniel 3:25, Christ appears in the midst of the Fire in the appearance as a ‘Son of God.’ This was the occasion of the 3 Friends of Daniel being cast into the Furnace for refusing to worship the 666 Beast Image. The Fire was intensified 7 times. It speaks of the 7-Year Tribulation Period of the Time of Jacob’s Trouble where Israel will go through a similar ‘Fiery Trial’. But the Remnant of Israel will be preserved in the midst or starting in the 1260th day.

In 1 Samuel 16, King David is another type of Christ, probably the best in terms of character and Heart of Jesus. David also fulfilled all these 3 Offices of being a King, Priest, and Prophet. One knows clearly David was a King. But in Acts, Peter addresses the Crowd, ‘When Pentecost had fully come’ event, at the New Wine Festival, 50 days after The Feast of Weeks, different than Pentecost, and declared that David was a Prophet.

And then David took of the Bread in the Holies and wore the Ephod of the Priest when he led the Ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem, thus a true type of Jesus. What also is to be connected is Christ’s rejection. Jesus, like David was initially rejected. David was a mere Shepherd Boy that was not called to the Lineup to be considered the next King of Israel to be anointed by Samuel.

Even David wrote this into the Psalms that he was like a ‘Stone rejected [of Israel] but became the Cornerstone’. Then there is the famous encounter with Goliath, the ‘Giant’ Enemy that was brought down.  All this to say that his same Past-Present-Future Prophetic Template is in play in helping see when the end of the Church Age is to occur based on the similar 7-Feasts of YHVH, fulfilled in the Past, Present and Future tenses.

In 1 Kings 3:16-28 16, it speaks then of another type of Jesus as seen in Solomon, the Son. Solomon was the Son of David. Jesus and Solomon are both called a Son of David and were both wiser than all their contemporaries. Solomon was a Man of Peace as that is what his Name means. He built the Temple of YHVH, as Jesus is building the Spiritual Temple of the Bride. Nations came to bring tribute to Solomon as they will during the Sabbath Day Rest of the Millennial Kingdom to see Jesus.

Then in Judges 13-16, there Samson as a type in some respects alluding to Jesus. An Angel announced their births. Both their births were miraculous as Samson’s mother was barren, and Mary was a virgin. An Angel also announced that both Samson and Jesus would be set apart for Ministry. And both would become a Savior of their People, Israel. Samson acted in the power of the Holy Spirit. Both were handed over to the Israelites and were both betrayed by someone closed to them. Both died to destroy their Enemies and achieved more in their Death than during their Life.

Esther 2:7, shows how Mordecai was a type of Christ. He like Jesus was a Jew who lived during an occupation by Foreign Power. They both had mortal Enemies. Both had Officials who planned to kill them but triumphed over them. They both had a triumphant ride in a city. As a result of their humility the King exalted them and they gained more Authority than they ever had before. Both became great among the Jews, who sought the welfare of their People. Both sent letters throughout the Empire to proclaim the news of the Salvation of the Jews and thwarted the evil plan to destroy them.

Jesus as an Object

The following passages, mainly from the Old Testament are of Object Lessons that convey a dimension or characteristic that infers to the Work/Person of Jesus Christ.

Ark of Noah

In Genesis 6-9, YHVH decided to destroy the World through a Flood due to wickedness, Sin and Genetic Engineering corrupting Humanity. GOD spared Noah and his family because Noah was still ‘genetically pure’. Consequently, God instructed Noah to build an Ark or boat. He was to enter it, and to bring his family and Animals with him. Once they entered, the Lord shut the Door, and everyone within the Ark survived the Flood.

As the Ark protected Noah and his family from the Flood, Jesus protects those trusting in Him from the coming Judgment. Jesus is the Door of the Sheep, and once entered though Him, one will be saved from the wrath of YHVH to come. In John 14:6, the Ark was the only way to escape the Flood. Jesus is the only way to salvation. In 1 Peter 3:21, Peter even said the Flood was a type of Baptism through the Resurrection of Christ.

Jacob’s ladder

In Genesis 28, Jacob had a dream of a Ladder that reached from Earth to Heaven. The Angels of YHVH were ascending and descending on it. And at the top, Jacob saw a Throne and One that appeared as the Son of GOD.

In John 1:51, Jesus likened Himself to this Ladder and said, ‘You will see Heaven open, and the Angels of GOD ascending and descending on the Son of Man’. Jesus is the ‘Bridge’ between Earth and Heaven and between YHVH and Mankind. In John 14:6, Jesus said that ‘He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Him’.

Manna from heaven

In Exodus 16:4, Manna can be seen as Jesus. After YHVH delivered the Children of Israel from Egypt, He brought them to the Wilderness. Due to unbelief and the 40-year Probation, Spiritual Food called Manna was provided.

In John 6:32-33, Jesus also likened Himself to hat Manna and declared that He was the ‘true Bread that came from Heaven’. In John 6:35, Manna could only satisfy the Israelites physical needs temporarily. Jesus said that He ‘Is the Bread of Life’ that can only truly meet the Spiritual Needs of Humanity.

Rock at Horeb

In Exodus 17:6, YHVH provided water for the Children of Israel in the Wilderness. He instructed Moses to ‘Strike the Rock at Horeb’ so that Water would come out of it, and the People would drink from it. In John 7:37-39, the Bible teaches that the ‘Rock’ was a prophetic type of Christ who was also ‘Struck’ so that YHVH’s People would receive the Living Water.

In John 4:10; 13-14, Jesus told the Samaritan Woman at the Well, that He would give her this Living Water. And ‘whoever drank from it would never thirst again’. In 1 Corinthians 10:4, the Apostle Paul said in that the Children of Israel, ‘All ate the same Spiritual Food, and all drank the same Spiritual Drink. For they drank from the Spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ.’

In Exodus 36-40, the Tabernacle was a copy of the real one in Heaven. It was a place to meet with YHVH and worship. Its purpose was for YHVH’s desire to dwell among His People. It is also where the Ark of the Covenant was housed. In it, was the Tablets of the Law, Aaron’s Staff and the Jar containing a sample of the Manna. These were all types of Jesus. So was the Menorah, Table of Bread and the Altar of Incense.

In both Colossians 2:9, and Hebrews 9:11, they confirm that such Furnishings were and are a shadow of Christ. In John 1:14, Jesus is as the Tabernacle. He is the Word who became Flesh and dwelt of ‘tabernacled’ with us. His Name is Emmanuel meaning ‘GOD with us’. This is related to Jesus in Matthew 1:23, the account of the Incarnation. In John 2:19-21, Jesus referred to His body as the Temple, that if destroyed would be rebuilt in 3 days. This was foreshadowing his Death, Burial and Resurrection.

In Leviticus 16:21-23, during the Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur, YHVH instructed the High Priest to take a live Goat, lay his hands on it, and confess over it all the Iniquities of the People of Israel. Afterward, the Goat would be sent away into the Wilderness. It symbolized the removal of the Sins of the Israelites and foreshadowed Christ who was crucified outside Jerusalem as the Scapegoat. Jesus became the ultimate Scapegoat on the Cross of Calvary when He bore the Sins of the World outside the City.

In John 19;19-21 it says, ‘Pilate also had a Notice posted on the cross. It read: JESUS NAZARENE KING JEWS. (Cryptic version of YHVH in Hebrew) Many of the Jews read this Sign, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the City, and it was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek. So the Chief Priests of the Jews said to Pilate, Do not write, The King of the Jews, but only that He said, I am the King of the Jews.’

In Psalm 22, there is a very peculiar Prophetic Picture of Jesus. The Psalm describes the Sufferings and Death of the Messiah, who is likened to a Worm. This echoes the very words spoken by Jesus on the Cross that ‘He was as a Worn and not a Man’. This type of Worm, the Tola’ath, is a scarlet or Crimson Worm found in Israel. The Female Crimson Worm gives birth only once. At that time, she climbs up a Tree or a piece of wood. She then attaches her body to it. It becomes a hard shell firmly attached to the tree. It can only be removed by ripping the Shell apart and thus killing the Mother. Underneath the body and protective Shell, she lays her Eggs. The Baby Worms feed on the mother until she dies. After her Death, her body releases a Red or Crimson Ink that covers the Babies entirely. And the Babies remain Crimson Red for the remainder of their lives. Then after 3 days, the dead Mother’s body loses its Crimson Color and turns White Wax.
In 1 John 4:9, the typology speaks of the work of Jesus, that like the Crimson Worm Mother died for her children to live, Jesus died so that those believing in Him may live through Him. In Revelation 1:5 it confirms how Jesus also was placed on a Tree, the Cross of Calvary. And in Ephesians 2:13, it teachers that Jesus gave up His life so that His People would be cleansed by His blood, covered by it, and become White as Snow as it says in Isaiah 1:18. The in Matthew 23:37, Jesus refers to Himself as a ‘Hen’ wishing so much ‘To gather Jerusalem as a Hen gathers her Chicks, but she was not willing’.

Jesus as the Messiah

Messiah means the ‘Anointed One’. In Greek, it is Christ. The Bible spoke of 2 Advents or appearances. The Jews believe the Messiah has not come yet but that He has to come before the 6000 years are completed since Adam. They do not realize, refuse to believe that in Daniel, a timeline is given in that the Messiah had to come before the destruction of the Temple, which occurred in 70 AD. Jesus appears throughout the Old Testament, and the following are the main themes and types/shadow describing how Jesus was and is the Messiah. He fulfils both Messiah ben Joseph and Messiah ben David in 1 Person but in 2 comings.

Messiah would destroy Lucifer

Genesis 3:15 it states, ‘I will put Enmity between You and the Woman, and between Your Offspring and Her Offspring: He shall bruise your Head, and You shall bruise His heel.’ This is the 1st Prophecy about the Jesus called the Proto-Evangelium. When Lucifer, in the form of a Serpent deceived Eve, Sin and Death entered the World. But YHVH in His grace announced He would send His SON to destroy the works of the Devil.

In 1 John 3:8, Galatians 4:4-5, 1 Peter 2:24, and 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 all speak about how Jesus fulfilled this Prophecy. The Offspring or Seed of the Woman is Jesus, who was born of a Woman. The Serpent bruised Jesus’ heel when He was crucified thinking that by Death, Lucifer had destroyed Jesus. However, Jesus crushed the Serpent’s Head when He rose from the grave and conquered Death, by Death, Sin and Satan.

Messiah would perform Miracles
In both Isaiah 35:5-6; 61:1, and in Zechariah 9:9, it states, ‘Then the Eyes of the Blind shall be opened, and the Ears of the Deaf unstopped; then shall the Lame Man leap like a deer and the Tongue of the Mute sing for joy. For Waters break forth in the Wilderness and Streams in the Desert.’ Hypocritically the Elder of Zion accused Jesus of Sorcery by doing such acts and then by performing them in the ‘Power of Beelzebub’ or the Devil. This was in fact what they were and are doing.

In Matthew 11:2-6, concerning the Miracles Jesus performed during His Ministry, John the Baptist sent his Disciples to ask if He was the Messiah, Jesus replied to them, ‘The Blind receive their Sight and the Lame Walk. Lepers are Cleansed, and the Deaf Hear. The Dead are Raised, and the Poor have Good News preached to them.’

Messiah would proclaim Year of Jubilee

Isaiah 61:1 says, ‘The Spirit of the LORD GOD is upon Me because the LORD has Anointed Me to bring Good News to the Poor; He has sent Me to bind-up the Brokenhearted, to proclaim Liberty to the Captives, and the opening of the Prison to those who are Bound.’

In Luke 4:16-21, it states that Jesus Himself said that He fulfilled this Prophecy while reading Isaiah 61 publicly in the Synagogue of Nazareth. Thereafter, He started His 3.5-year Ministry.

Messiah will have a Triumphant Entry in Jerusalem

Zechariah 9:9 says, ‘Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O Daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; Righteous and having Salvation is He, humble and mounted on a Donkey, on a Colt, the Foal of a Donkey.’

He fulfilled this Prophecy in Matthew 21:8-11, Luke 19:35-37, John 12:12-15 when Jesus rode on a Donkey into Jerusalem with Shouts of Praise.

Messiah would be betrayed for 30 Pieces of Silver

Zechariah 11:12-13 says, ‘Then I said to them, if it seems good to you, give me my Wages; but if not, keep them. And they weighed out as my Wages 30 Pieces of Silver. Then the LORD said to me, Throw it to the Potter’-the Lordly Price at which I was priced by them. So, I took the 30 Pieces of Silver and threw them into the House of the LORD, to the Potter’.

In Matthew 26:14-16; 27:3-10, it states that Judas Iscariot, 1 of the 12 Disciples was the one who betrayed Jesus for 30 Pieces of Silver. He was in charge of the Money Bag and conspired with the Elders of Zion to hand over Jesus to them.

Messiah would be rejected by Israel

In Isaiah 53:1-3, it says, ‘He was despised and rejected by Men, a Man of Sorrows and acquainted with Grief; and as one from whom Men hide their Faces. He was despised, and we [Israel] esteemed Him not.’

In John 1:10-11, John 12:37-38, and Matthew 26:3, it says that the Elders of Zion rejected this ‘Stone’. The Jews nationally rejected Jesus and conspired to kill Him. The only crime they could lay on Jesus was that He ‘Blasphemed’ by saying that He and the Father were One, essentially same as saying I am as the Father, GOD. And that Jesus stated that He was the Messiah, the Holy One of YHVH.

Messiah would be Mocked

In Psalm 22:7-8 King David prophesized, ‘All who see Me mock Me; they make Mouths at me; they wag their Heads; He trusts in the LORD; let Him deliver Him; let Him rescue Him, for He delights in Him!’ This was/is the perspective as experienced from the cross.

in Matthew 27:39-40, and Luke 23:11; 35, it states that the Crowd, Herod, the Roman Soldiers all mocked and ridiculed Jesus with the same exact language.

Messiah born in Bethlehem

Micah 5:2 states, ‘But you Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the Clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for Me, One who is to be Ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of Old, from Eternity.’

In Matthew 2:1 and Luke 2:1-7, it states that Jesus was born in Bethlehem but that Jesus existed before as GOD the Son, the Creator, yet ‘Slain from the foundations of the World’.

Messiah would be put to Death
In Psalm 22:16-17, David as a Prophet stated the Agony to be suffered by Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, ‘For Dogs encompass Me; a Company of Evildoers encircles Me; They have Pierced my Hands and Feet. I can count all My Bones; they stare and gloat over Me.’

In Matthew 27:31, and John 19:15-16, the accounts state how Jesus’ Hands and Feet were Pierced when the Roman Soldiers nailed Jesus to the Cross of Calvary. In John 19:33-36, it states that unlike the other 2 crucified with Him, Jesus’ Bones where not broken. And in Zechariah 12:10 it states, ‘And I will pour out on the House of David and the Inhabitants of Jerusalem a Spirit of Grace and Pleas for Mercy, so that, when they look on Me, on Him whom they have Pierced, they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only Child, and weep bitterly over Him, as one weeps over a Firstborn.

Messiah would Rise from the Dead

In Psalm 16:10, David prophesized of the Messiah, ‘For you will not abandon My Soul to Sheol or let your Holy One see Corruption.’

In Matthew 28:5-6, Mark 16:6, Jesus rose from the Grave. Peter and Paul even quoted this Psalm of how it pertained to the Resurrection of Jesus in Acts 2:27-31; 13:35-37.

Messiah would sit at Right Hand of GOD

David said in Psalm 110:1, ‘The LORD [Father] says to my LORD [SON]: Sit at my Right Hand until I make your Enemies your Footstool.’

Hebrews 10:12-13 and Mark 16:19 states that when Jesus resurrected, He ascended and sat down at the Right Hand of GOD.

Messiah would destroy Death with Death

Isaiah 25:7-8 says, ‘And He will swallow-up on this Mountain the covering that is cast over all Peoples, the Veil that is spread over all Nations. He will swallow-up Death forever, and the LORD GOD will wipe away Tears from all Faces, and the Reproach of His People he will take away from all the Earth, for the LORD has spoken.’

In Luke 23:33, it states that Jesus died on a Mount Moriah. In Matthew 27:5, Jesus tore down the Veil of Separation. In 1 Corinthians 15:54 Jesus conquered Death. And in Revelation 21:4, Jesus will wipe away every Tear.

Messiah to Return and Reign

Isaiah 9:6-7 says, ‘To us a Son is given; and the Government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His Government and of Peace there will be no end. On the Throne of David and over His Kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with Justice and with Righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The Zeal of the LORD of Hosts will do this.’

He promised to His Disciples at the Last Supper to return one day. Revelation 22:7 tells that Jesus will set-up the Kingdom when He comes again as Messiah ben David. It is called the Millennial Kingdom where He will establish justice in the world, and bring World Peace, as the Prince of Peace, sitting on the Throne of David as King of Righteousness.

As one can attest, the Biblical or Scriptural evidence is overwhelming and compelling that indeed, Jesus Christ is the SON of GOD, GOD the Son, the Messiah and GOD come in the Flesh, Human Flesh. It is a mystery as noted as there is a teaching on this specific dualism of Jesus’ Nature that in times past has even been a debate among Councils that have led to schisms. This notion of a dual Nature in 1 Person is called the Hypostatic Union. It is that Jesus was 100% GOD and 100% Man. But that in the context of the circumstances, in the Gospels, it depends then how He spoke, either as GOD when He proclaimed that ‘I AM’ or as the Man.

In his Humanity only, Jesus stated that He, at that time as a mere Man, did not possess the knowledge of certain things such as the timing of certain prophetic events, for example. Also consider that in the backdrop of all these accounts occurring the Middle East, the Eastern tradition of a Son is equal to that of the Father. This is a notion not fully grasped nor understood in the West and reason for a degree of confusion. One could also show, by only circumstantial evidence the Triune Nature of the GOD-Head. They are from several types that have been rendered to strongly suggest that there is a Triune Nature to the Creator YHVH.

There is the case or the division of Water as Jesus said that He is the Living Water. Water can exist in 3 stages at the same time, 1) Vapor, 2) Solid and 3) Liquid. Then there is the example of a Human Cell, having 3 divisions and how it also replicates the Temple of YHVH, having 3 main divisions. There is the 1) Porch, 2) Holies and 30 Holy of Holies. As it states in Genesis, that Mankind was made in the ‘Image and Likeness’ of YHVH, this is seen then in the Triune Nature of the Human Being. How so?

A Human Being is likewise made-up of 3 divisions. A person has an invisible component of the 1) Spirit, then 2) Soul. But the physical manifestation of a Human Being is its 3) Body. Likewise of the Triune GOD-Head, 1) the Father, 2) the Son, and 3) the Holt Spirit, it was the 2nd Person of the GOD-Head, the SON, or Jesus that took on Flesh. And that of Humanity’s Flesh, not of Animals or the Fallen Angels that sinned nor were chosen to be redeemed, but only Humanity. This is amazing. It is because unlike any Created Being YHVH has ever made, it is Humanity that has a Living Soul.

It is the biproduct of the Body fused with the Life Force or Breathe of YHVH that produced the Living Soul. This is why a Soul is so precocious and sought after by Lucifer and Demons to possess. Then Jesus said that ‘He is the Light of the World’. Likewise, the whole Light Spectrum can be divided into 3 divisions, and the only part that is visible is the 1) Visible Light Spectrum or White Light’. The other components of Light are invisible and have to do with 2) Sound and 3) Heat.

And this same ‘Creative Template’ is what all of Creation was also patterned after. Consider that the Solar System has each Planet at a certain Orbit. Each then is subject to a certain Frequency or Resonance that limits their Sound or range. And as the Planet ‘Dance’ around the Sun, it is as if they are making ‘Music’ in the melody corresponding to their sound Frequency/Resonance. And in fact, even the Color Spectrum of the Planets from Mercury to Uranus mirror that of the Spectrum of the Colors of the Visible White Light.

When delineated, the same 7 main divisions of the Color Spectrum correspond then in exact order of Color and frequency to the 7 main planets from Earth’s perspective. 1) Mercury, 2) Venus, 3) Mars, 4) Jupiter, 5) Saturn, 6) Neptune, 7) Uranus. Nonetheless, the overwhelming evidence and proof provided from the Bible strongly suggests that indeed Jesus is GOD. This assertion, after all is the prime reason, He was crucified by the Romans at the bequest of the Jewish Ruling Council, the Sanhedrin, because of ‘Blasphemy’ in that Jesus did not deny He was GOD the SON, making Himself equal to GOD, or GOD.
